Junior Kindergarten focused on several famous artists all over the world. We researched and discussed about Picasso, Andy Warhol, Miró, Dalí, Mondrian and many others renowned artists.
JK students focused on the artist style, the characteristics of their artwork and colours.
Afterwards JK5 got inspired and worked on their artwork and paintings with an age appropriate approach. This was a very exciting and engaged project!
Our last project for this term was creating Sculptures. Inspired by the Macau-based Russian artist Konstantin Bessmertny and his world of opposites.
On a previous field trip to Macau Art Museum, we visited Konstantin exhibition and the JK students started to research more about this local artist and his artwork. This was a long creation process. JK students thought, discussed, created and drew their sculpture. They chose the materials that were needed to build their creation. Test and pro-test; See how it works; solve their problem…
Fully engaged and hands on activities. All work was made and created by students, authentic and unique creation.
Hope that you enjoy!
